Star in Special-Effects Loaded, Critically Acclaimed Suspense Story
BURBANK, Calif., July 8, 2005 – Miramax Home Entertainment presents Lucy Liu (“Kill Bill Volume
1”, “Charlie’s Angels,”) and Jeremy Northam in CYPHER, an exciting techno-thriller set in the
dangerous, high-stakes world of corporate espionage. Hoping for a more exciting life than the suburban
sprawl he currently inhabits, nerdy salary-man Morgan Sullivan (Jeremy Northam, “Gosford Park,”
“Emma”) takes a job as an industrial spy at Digicorp, a global computer corporation. Digicorp assigns
him the duty of flying to various conventions around America and recording the speeches that are made.
But when Sullivan meets a mysterious woman (Lucy Liu) he begins to realize that his job may not be
what it seems, as he descends into a dark underworld of brainwashing, where he struggles to maintain his
own identity.
CYPHER has won international acclaim as a Festival Winner at the Brussels International Film Festival
(Winner Golden Raven Award, 2003), the Catalonian International Film Festival (Best Actor Jeremy
