                    SYNOPSIS

Everyone has experienced the unsettling mystery
of déjà vu - that flash of memory when you meet
someone new you feel you've known all your life
or recognize a place even though you've never
been there before. But what if the feelings were
actually warnings sent from the past or clues to
the future? In the captivating new action-thriller
from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director
Tony Scott, written by Terry Rossio & Bill Marsilii,
it is déjà vu that unexpectedly guides ATF agent
Doug Carlin (DENZEL WASHINGTON) through an
investigation into a shattering crime. Called in to
recover evidence after a bomb sets off a
cataclysmic explosion on a New Orleans Ferry,
Carlin is about to discover that what most people
believe is only in their heads is actually something
far more powerful - and will lead him on a
mind-bending race to save hundreds of innocent
people. -- © Touchstone Pictures

Denzel Washington plays Doug Carlin, a New Orleans ATF agent investigating the bombing of a ferry
filled with hundreds of military personnel and their families. While searching through the casualties,
he comes upon the body of a woman names Claire (Paula Patton).  Doug learns she is not a victim of
the bombing but maybe a clue to the identity of the bomber.  FBI Agent Pryzwarra (Val Kilmer) shows
him a top-secret surveillance program that allows them to view a real time playback of specific
locations within the city of New Orleans from four days in the past.  Doug follow Claire's life before
her death with this program hoping to find the person responsible for the bombing and to save
Claire's life.  Director Tony Scott and Academy Award winner Denzel Washington unite for the third
time with
Deja Vu.  The picture is captivating, thanks to Washington's superb performance and a
suspenseful storyline.  You can waste brains cells analyzing
DeJa Vu or just accept the film for what
it is: an intense action movie!
