The third book in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is sure to be a hit with its die-hard fans. In Eclipse, Bella
(Kristen Stewart) is torn between her vampire lover, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her shape shifter wolf
friend, Jacob (Taylor Lautner). The two continue to fight for her attention and have to learn to work
together in order to keep the girl they love from getting killed by Victoria and her army of newborn
vampires. By far, this is the most entertaining of the three; focusing more on humor and action than the
melodramatic relationship between Bella and Edward. New to the series director David Slade does an
amazing job of incorporating the flashbacks of Jasper’s and Rosalie’s past and the introduction of Xavier
Samuels as Riley, Victoria’s puppet is sure to please female audiences. Slade also did a great job
connecting Riley and Victoria’s story with the rest of the characters. The only big disappointment is the
end battle scene. Slade could have added an additional 15 minutes of special effects and made the end
battle scene one audiences would remember.
