ELEKTRA
If you longed for, make that lusted for, more of
Elektra (Jennifer Gardner) after Daredevil,
now's your chance to get your fill. She's back
and still dressed in that cute, but abbreviated,
little, red fighting outfit. An assassin by trade,
Elektra is snatched from the clutches of death
and returns to take on her next assignment.
Targets, Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic) and his 13
year-old daughter (Kristen Prout) prove to be
tough to hate. And in a twist of character,
Elektra bucks the ninja system and protects
her intended prey.

The baddies are powerful, and out in force to
eliminate their old comrade in arms, Elektra.
Typhoid (Natassia Malthe), Stone (Bob Sapp)
and Tattoo (Chris Ackerman) use their
collective, supernatural powers to get their
prey. Fortunately Elektra's old mentor, Stick
(Terrance Stamp), stands by his student in her
hour of need.
Brenda’s comments
An assassin with a heart of gold, or
something like that, Elektra returns from
the dead, a better person. Unable to take
out her intended victims, she instead
becomes their savior and protector. That's
quite a transformation. Her formidable
enemies have those great, evil powers to
keep us in fear and awe of them. I
especially like the tattoos that come to life,
ready to kick ass. A ticket buys you a lot of
nonstop action. Marvel stories seem to
adapt well to the big screen.
Mary’s comments
Are you a fan of Daredevil? If the answer is
yes, then you are the perfect audience
member for this latest Marvel Comics
offering from 20th Century Fox. And, if you
are also a fan of Goran Visnjic from
television's ER, even better. Exciting and
action packed, it's no surprise that it went
like a comic book with its pages being
flipped by a strong wind. Little down time to
catch your breath. Escapism.
