HIDE AND SEEK
Looking for a thrill? Director John Polson is out
to give you one in this catchy tale of death and
solace. David Callaway (Robert DeNiro) has a lot
on his platter. After losing his wife to suicide, he
is left to comfort and raise his nine-year-old
daughter Emily (Dakota Fanning) alone. But just
who is really alone becomes an issue when
Emily conjures up a friend to keep her company.
Imaginary friend, Charlie, seems to be filling a
gap in Emily's life, but is he good for her? Is he
even imaginary?

This thriller/drama from 20th Century Fox will
give you the creeps and keep you guessing until
the last fifteen minutes, or so. Watch for Amy
Irving in the role of Alison Callaway, she's still at
the top of her game. You just may feel the hair
on the back of your neck rise the next time you
hear the words, "Come out, come out. Where
ever you are."
Brenda's Comments
Scare me more! I simply can't get enough of the
creepier dramas. The only thing that I ask is that
you not lose me in a story that is obviously filled
with holes and gaps. And HIDE AND SEEK does a
fine job of telling me the story and making me very
uncomfortable, which, in this case, is a good
feeling. Go forth and be scared, this one is worth
seeing if you are a fan of scary movies.
Mary's Comments
A well developed story offers its viewers
continuity. Fine acting from the leads
reinforces this tale of the macabre. Robert
DeNiro is always a hit, and this role is no
exception. A good, scary movie to offer
some escape from a bust day in the real
world.
