NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM:
BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN (2009)
SYNOPSIS
It's a new "Night" and "Museum" for Ben Stiller, who is
joined by several other stars from the original film, as
well as new characters from history. The centerpiece
of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian
Institution, which houses the world's largest museum
complex with more than 136 million items in its
collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart flew
on her nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al
Capone's rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy's ruby red
slippers and Archie Bunker's lounge chair. No major
film has ever shot inside the Smithsonian in
Washington…until Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the
Smithsonian. --© 20th Century Fox

Night in the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonia picks up where Night in the Museum left off, Larry Daley
(Ben Stiller) has left his museum guard job and has achieved success in doing infomercials with
inventions such as glow-in-the-dark flashlights. Busy with his new career, he doesn't have time to visit
his old friends at the museum. Larry isn't aware that all of the old exhibits are being shipped to the
Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC not for display but to be stored away. Dexter the Monkey steals
the magical tablet of Ahkmenrah which brings the exhibits to life every night. This causes the stored
exhibits to come to life, including Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria), the older, more vengeful brother of
Ahkmenrah, Kahmunrah plans on using the tablet to bring forth the Armies of the Underworld and take
over the world. It isn't often that the sequel is better than the original but Night at the Museum: Battle of
the Smithsonian has better characters, special effects, and story. Amy Adams is superb as Amelia
Earhart. Take the whole family and see Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, you won't be
disappointed!
