THE PACIFIER
A top-secret government experiment, a dead
scientist, a family at risk, so far pretty serious
stuff, but just wait a few minutes. Shane Wolf
(Vin Diesel), Navy S. E. A. L., is assigned to
protect the family of a recently deceased
American scientist who made a huge
discovery right before his untimely death.  Like
it, or not, as of today, the Plummer Family is his
sole responsibility. Naturally, the bad guys as
well as the good guys want the secret program
that holds the key. So, let the games begin.

Able to handle any and all wartime maneuvers,
Shane boldly goes where no S. E. A. L.  has
gone before, the nursery. And that's the tip of
the iceberg. There are teenagers in the home
as well, not an easy group if you're looking for
full cooperation with those in authority.

A Disney film directed by Adam Shankman,
"The Pacifier" is a wholesome, entertaining
movie for a family needing something with a
PG intensity.
Mary's comments
Entertaining little tale filled with silly props
and dilemmas involving childcare for the
inexperienced. Not a great film, by anyone's
standards, but a fun afternoon matinee for
the family. Lauren Graham is notable as the
school principal who has her eye on Shane.
And the best character is probably Carol
Kane as the quirky, Romanian nanny.
Brenda's comments
Cute story, darling kids and enjoyable
antics made the very brief movie (91
minutes) a hit with my family. Some action
and a hint of romance didn't hurt either. In
other words, there is a little something for
everyone. Vin Diesel flaunts his versatility in
this Disney offering.
