POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE

Leave it to the folks at Disney to take “cute” to the
next level. “Lumpy” is that new pinnacle. Pooh,
Tiger, Rabbit, Eeyore and Piglet are on a quest
when an excursion into the Hundred Acre Wood
turns up a big, frightening Heffalump. But, as
scary as a large, unknown creature can be, a
baby Heffalump is equally darling, non-threatening
and innocent. Soon all is well, and new friends are
made through kindness and understanding.
Maybe the leaders of the world should be required
to watch this latest installment of the Pooh saga.
Lessons about tolerance are abundant in The
Woods as the Gang sifts through the unknowns of
the mysterious Heffalump. Nothing too scary, but
plenty of warm fuzzies for the very youngest of
movie goers.
For the adults in attendance, a briefing might be in
order. Heffalumps and Woozles are the fodder for
Pooh’s very frightening dreams. Large, horrible
creatures who live in an area adjacent to The
Hundred Acre Wood, Heffalump Hollow, and are
believed to be “Hunny” thieves and fall into the
category of “Others”.
MARY AND BRENDA'S COMMENTS
Mary and Brenda both concede that this film is not a candidate for adult scrutiny. It is
what it is meant to be, a preschoolers’ movie destination to be enjoyed and savored by
the young. Safe, sweet and filled with good lessons. Be sure to take the little ones to see
this one.
