BRENDA
Take a spooky rundown mansion in the Louisiana bayou, an unsound wife, and a young woman
tormented with the guilt of her father's death, now you have the makings of Skeleton Key. Kate Hudson
plays Caroline, the caretaker hired by Violet (Gena Rowlands) to care for her ailing husband (John
Hurt). Director Iain Softley does an excellent job of not showing too much and allowing the audience to
use their imagination The movie tends to drag in the middle but overall is entertaining.. This is a good
old-fashion movie that is more spooky than scary with an unbelievable twist in the ending.
