TEEN REVIEWS BY CHELSEA
New Line Cinema’s OVER HER DEAD BODY will be playing in theatres in the St. Louis area, and nation-
wide, beginning this Friday, 02/01/08. I’d give it 3 out of 5. It is a comedy, rated PG-13.
Henry (Paul Rudd), upset when his fiancé Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) is crushed to death by an ice-
sculpture on their wedding day, reluctantly agrees to check out a psychic named Ashley (Lake Bell).
Although skeptical, Henry is coaxed into this meeting by his worried sister Chloe (Lindsay Sloane). Once
Ashley and Henry meet, there are some sparks between them. Enter, Kate, the ghost. She has been sent
to carry out a mission. She wasn’t clear on the details of the mission; because, she didn’t give her
supervisor-angel a chance to explain. So, Kate believes that her heavenly duty is to keep Ashley and
Henry from falling in love. Ashley is the only one that can actually see Kate. From this point, the movie has
some pretty funny scenes including Kate “haunting” Ashley and throwing obstacles in the way of the new
romance. Without giving too much away, love does win in the end. It’s worth seeing….may want to wait
for the rental. Could be a good Valentine Day movie date.
Director: Jeff Lowell
Starring: Eva Longoria Parker, Paul Rudd, Lake Bell, Lindsay Sloane, Stephen Root, Jason Biggs
